The Metro councilman claimed more than 60-percent of the vote in yesterday’s election.His nearest competitor, Chris Theineman, tallied less than 30-percent of the vote.Heiner urged his supporters during his victory speech to help make the general election race about issues, not personal attacks.“Make sure they stay issue-focused," said Heiner. "This is too important of an election to just be another political event.”Heiner will face Democrat Greg Fischer in the general election.
