Democrat Greg Fischer and Republican Hal Heiner are the major party nominees for mayor in November's general election.Fischer, a Louisville businessman won about 45 percent of the vote in a Democratic primary that had eight candidates on the ballot.He was followed in the voting by Metro Councilman David Tandy, with about 24 percent of the vote.On the Republican side, Heiner, also a Metro Councilman, easily defeated Chris Thieneman and Jonathon Robertson to win the GOP nomination.
