Louisville Business Adding 50 Jobs

by Gabe BullardA Louisville-based manufacturing company will add 50 jobs in the city.Kentuckiana Curb will expand the workforce at its Jeffersontown plant to make heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems.Mayor's spokesperson Chris Poynter says the new manufacturing may signal further economic growth."Kentuckiana Curb and its sister company Kentuckiana Comfort are making these HVA systems that will be installed in buildings, so it's a little bit further evidence that maybe the building economy is turning around again, too, because they're now making these HVA systems to sell to these companies," he says.The company was offered about a million dollars in tax incentives keep the jobs in Louisville.Poynter says he hopes to see more small business expansions soon to help make up for the hundreds of jobs lost recently at Humana and Jewish Hospital.
