by Gabe BullardThe Kentucky Registry of Election Finance is offering more opportunities for candidates and campaign workers to learn election law this year. The registry regularly offers free seminars on election finance law to candidates and campaign workers, and five such classes will be offered this year. But for those who can't attend, the classes are now offered online. The seminars give an overview of the law and the resources available to campaigns. Registry executive director Sarah Jackson says the information has been useful to candidates in the past."It does steer more people clear of violations and it does reduce having to write for more information of the candidates or having to initiate complaints or address things on the back-end," she says.Candidates and campaign workers are not required to attend the seminars.
