McConnell opposes the legislation, but says GOP candidates for Congress across the country could benefit from it."It would be my prediction that if this thing passes, it will be the issue in virtually every House and Senate race in the country this November and I expect most of the Republican candidates are going to be saying, 'Vote for me and I'll repeal it,'" he says.McConnell says strong campaigning against Democratic incumbents in Congress will be crucial for Republican candidates. That follows reports that the National Republican Congressional Committee is experiencing a lag in fundraising.
