One-hundred-thousand dollars was donated to the Louisville Urban League today by LG&E.League President Ben Richmond says the money will go into its general budget.“We’ve seen a significant increase in the demand for our services," says Richmond. "An 18% increase in our employment area over what we projected, we’ve also had a 14% increase in our housing area of need.”Richmond says they’ve seen more people asking for help after losing their jobs or while going through foreclosure. He says the league applies for a donation from LG&E every year.
