Wayside Christian Mission will hold a ‘house blessing’ tomorrow evening for its new facility at the old Hotel Louisville at Second and Broadway. Spokesperson Nina Moseley says it will include prayers from a number of area ministers and the organization’s founder.Moseley says Wayside settling in to run its women and families’ shelter there, even though Jefferson Community and Technical College is still interested in purchasing the building. The zoning board is also still working to clarify where homeless shelters in Louisville can be located, and they don’t want to move again until those regulations are sorted out.“Then we would be willing to work, at that time, with the college, to maybe let them purchase our property and us build a new campus," says Moseley, "but I don’t see that happening any time in the near future.”Moseley says a dance will be held after the house blessing on Saturday to raise money. She says the 12-story hotel’s utility bills are much higher than those at Wayside’s other facilities.
