The University of Kentucky football team is back in action tonight,taking on Clemson in the Music City Bowl in Nashville.This is an unprecedented fourth straight bowl appearance for UK, which finished the regular season with a record of 8 and 4.It's Kentucky's third appearance in the Music City Bowl and the second against Clemson. The Wilcats won the first contest 28-20 in 2006.Kickoff at LP Field is 8:30pm Eastern time.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
