School H1N1 Clinics Wrap Up Tomorrow

By the end of this week, H1N1 vaccine clinics will have been held at every school in Jefferson County.Health department director Dr. Adewale Troutman says he’s pleased with the participation. He’d anticipated about a third of the children would get vaccinated, and says it’s been closer to half.“And I think we did a good job in getting the information out to the public with the support of the media," says Troutman, "and people just, I think people listened and said ‘yes, this is the right thing to do,’ and we just got a wonderful response.”Troutman says through Wednesday of this week, more than 43,000 students had been inoculated. He expects by the end of the clinics, more than 50,000 youngsters will have received the vaccine.
