Talks aimed at resolving complaints involving the manager of the government-subsidized Park DuValle rental properties in west Louisville are continuing. The authority has been negotiating for weeks with the Boston-based The Community Builders, which has been repeatedly accused of mismanagement and poor oversight of Park DuValle.A resolution was expected last month, but never came. Authority Director Tim Barry says the delay isn't because of any particular disagreement."It's just been a lot of conversation, discussion, documents that have to go back and forth and holidays tend to interrupt any type of negotiations and we've got holidays coming up, so it's going to be tight, but we'll get this thing done in the next few weeks," he says.Barry says he would like to reach an agreement with TCB by the end of the year, but talks may continue into January."I'm hopeful we can get this thing wrapped up by the end of the year. With the holidays rapidly approaching, it may roll over into January a little bit, but we're getting close," says Barry.
