Kragthorpe Urges Fans to Support Team

The University of Louisville football team takes on Syracuse tomorrow in their next to last home game of the season. The three-and-six Cardinals are hoping to break a nine-game losing streak to Big East opponents. They’re coming off a road loss last weekend to West Virginia.Coach Steve Kragthorpe says their last home game has a record low attendance, and he hopes more fans show up this weekend to support his team.“Particularly the senior players, you know, they’ve got two more games here at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium this week and then against Rutgers on the Friday night after Thanksgiving," says Kragthorpe, "so if people don’t want to come and support me, if they don’t like me, that’s fine, I can understand that and they’re certainly entitled to their opinion, but I think they need to come support these players.”The Orangemen are also three-and-six this season, and have blanked against Big East teams. Kickoff is set for noon.Kentucky plays this weekend at Vanderbilt and Indiana travels to Penn State.
