Football Cards Reel From Losses, Injuries

Two straight losses and a host of injuries are plaguing the University of Louisville football team.The Cards lost Saturday to fifth-ranked Cincinnati, and their record fell to two-and-five. Coach Steve Kragthorpe says this is a challenging time for his players, but their heads are up.“We’ve got a lot of good guys, with solid character, and when you come across a tough time like we’re coming across now, that’s what it takes to overcome it: character," says Kragthorpe. "If you’re kicking the dirt, you’re going to lose the opportunity to take a hold of an opportunity that lies ahead of you and you’ll never see it.”U-of-L faces Arkansas State of the Sun Belt Conference this weekend. The two-and-four Red Wolves visit the Cards Saturday afternoon at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
