Louisville Metro Government officials take their master plan for the Park Hill industrial corridor to the public Monday. The 2.5 million dollar renovation plan will turn parts of the area southwest of downtown into a green-industry corridor to attract environmentally friendly jobs and industries.Mayor's spokesperson Chris Poynter tonight's (Monday's) meeting will be mostly informational since public input was gathered as the plan was developed."University of Louisville is very interested in what's going on because their campus abuts Park Hill. Companies like Brown-Forman, which is located in the Park Hill corridor had a strong interest," he says. "And we had some neighborhood residents who were involved as well, although most of the area is industrial."The plan calls for improvements to sewers, roads and energy-efficiency and is expected to take several years to complete. The meeting will be held at McFerrin Elementary at 5:30.
