Flood Relief Offices Closing Thursday

Louisville's two flood disaster relief offices will close Thursday.The Small Business Association offices were set up after the August 4th flood to provide information on loans and grants for flood damaged property.The deadline for loan applications was Tuesday, and SBA spokesperson Michael Peacock says his crew will work until 6 PM Thursday processing the paperwork."We're still doing follow-up with those folks that have applied with SBA and we're also doing loan closings," he says.The offices close at the end of business Thursday. Additional follow-ups will be done through mail, over the phone or online.More than 12 thousand requests for aid were sent to FEMA after the flood. As of Tuesday, more than 14 hundred loan applications had been turned in and about 300 loans had been approved.
