Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson says he's close to making his appointments to the bi-state Ohio River Bridges Project authority, but he's not sure when he'll make an official announcement. The authority will look at ways to pay for the 4.1 billion dollar project. It will have fourteen members; seven from Indiana and seven from Kentucky. Four of the Kentucky members will be appointed by Abramson, who says he's had a slight problem finding qualified individuals with the time to serve."We're looking at folks who have retired, but we're also looking at active folks in senior positions who might be available to assist," he says. "And I've gotten very positive feedback from most. Some are concerned about the time and that, I think, is reasonable because it is going to take some time."Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear and Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels have not yet announced their appointments to the authority. No timeline for the appointments has been set.
