Final plans are being made for the annual Idea Festival to be held in Louisville this month. The three-day festival focuses on innovations and creativity in all fields.Founder Kris Kimel says the festival's speakers are not chosen based on current events, but over time the festival has become somewhat prescient."Last year we had somebody who came in who was speaking about—ironically, we had booked him quite a ways ahead—but had written several books about economic uncertainty and the kind of inherent, unpredictable nature of the economy," says Kimel. "We try to stay current and we try each festival to feature what we consider to be some of the leading innovators and ideas out there today and in some respects that reflects what's going on in the economy and the world."The festival will be held from the 23rd through the 26th. Noted speakers include chef and TV personality Anthony Bourdain and writer A.J. Jacobs.
