Council Hears From FEMA On Aid

Federal Emergency Management Agency officials say anyone who sustained property damage in this month's flood should apply for aid from FEMA.Spokesperson Julius Gibbons says aid is available for all flood losses not covered by insurance."If you don't have insurance call FEMA. If you have insurance, call your insurance company then call FEMA. However you want to do it, call FEMA within that process. A lot of people believe that if I have insurance, then FEMA's not going to help me."Gibbons says the money could come in the form of grants or low-interest loans and is not necessarily guaranteed.FEMA Aid Information:Louisville FEMA Disaster Recovery Offices
