Five Kentuckians have been named to a negotiating team that will incorporate and lay the framework for the Ohio River Bridges Authority. Governor Steve Beshear and Mayor Jerry Abramson made the appointments.Abramson says this is not the group that will serve on the authority.“They will set up the bylaws and all the legal requirements," says Abramson, "so that then the next step will be the Governor will appoint his bi-state authority members that have to be confirmed by the state senate, and then I will appoint, or recommend the appointment of the ones that are local in nature and they need to be confirmed by the Metro Council.”The bi-state authority will consider ways to continue funding and development of the Ohio River Bridges Project.Named to the negotiating team are Louisville developer David Nicklies, GLI President Joe Reagan, and Louisville Urban League President Ben Richmond. Representatives from state government are interim Transportation Cabinet Secretary Mike Hancock, and Finance and Administration Cabinet deputy secretary Lori Hudson Flanery.
