Jobs in the Clean Energy Economy
Need a job? Well, you might be better off going “green.” Obama’s stimulus package allocated billions of dollars to fund the creation of a new green-based economy, equipped with lots of new “green-collar” workers. And in Kentucky, Governor Beshear wants to create 40,000 new jobs by 2025 geared towards improving energy efficiency and increasing the state’s use of renewable energy sources. According to a new report by The Pew Charitable Trusts, the trend towards a clean energy economy has been gaining momentum for the past decade.
