Louisville is again hosting the Annual Street Rod Nationals, which start Thursday at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
National Street Rod Association Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy says more than 11,000 of the vehicles from across the country will be on display through Sunday.A street rod is defined as a modernized automobile that was manufactured before 1949.Kennedy says the organization has developed a strong relationship with Louisville."This is our fifteenth visit to louisville, and the thirteenth consecutive year that we have been here. When we first came here in 1988, our vision was much like the city's. We could see what louisville was going to do in the future and it went very well with what NSRA wanted to accomplish as well," Kennedy said. The event is one of Louisville's top conventions, with an economic impact of more than $15 million
