After voicing concerns about "ongoing frustrations" with the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the director of the Greater Louisville Sports Commission has resigned. The bureau funds the Sports Commission, and director Diane McGraw had previously expressed consternation with how the bureau worked with the commission.Interim Director Karl Schmitt declined to address McGraw's reasons for resignation, but he says her actions have not hurt the relationship between the two groups."The only thing that we can do at this point is to continue to move forward with the relationship," he says. "We have our landlord, if you will, the Convention and Visitors Bureau. It's the group that funds us and we have a good relationship with them and we'll work to make it better."A national search for a new director of the Sports Commission will begin soon.
