KSU Football Players Charged in Robbery

From Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeighThe alleged theft of a tip jar from a Lexington restaurant has led to robbery charges against four Kentucky State University football players.Lexington police say the football players were among six men who got into an altercation with Tolly-Ho restaurant employees early Saturday morning over the alleged theft of a tip jar.All six, who are charged with first-degree robbery, pleaded not guilty and have been released from jail.The KSU football players are Cordell Key, Jemario Dorsey, Nate Mills and Jerrel Noland. Also charged are Chris Spaulding and Stephen Gilmore.Gilmore has a separate attorney, but the other men are represented by Frankfort Attorney Willie Peale. Peale told WKYT-TV his clients will be exonerated because only one man, Gilmore, is responsible for the alleged crime.
