Louisville's popular skatepark will be closed several days this week for maintenance. Metro Parks spokesperson Jason Cissell says the park is shut down at least once a year to allow crews to do the work."Painting and cleaning as well as removal of graffiti and and repair of vandalism, which unfortunately is always a concern with the skatepark," Cissell said.
He says the skatepark is scheduled to be closed Tuesday through Thursday this week and reopen Friday morning. The 40,000 square foot facility at Witherspoon and Clay Streets has been open to the public since 2002.
