The Youth Exchange and Study program hosts students from countries like Lebanon, Afghanistan, Turkey, and Indonesia.Louisville-area coordinator Angela Manetta also hosts students. She says it’s a chance to expand her worldview.“There’s so much about the world that we only hear about in the news," says Manetta, "and it’s just not the same as when you’re communicating daily, one-on-one, in a close intimate relationship with these kids.”About one-thousand students come to the U.S. for a semester or school year through the YES program.
