The funeral for former Louisville Metro Councilman George Melton will be held Wednesday.Melton died Saturday at his home. He was 79.He represented the Metro Council's 15th District in south Louisville from 2003 to 2007.He was also a member of the old Louisville Board of Aldermen and a retired Jefferson County Police Officer.Survivors include his wife, former alderwoman Beverly "Bebe" Melton.The funeral for George Melton will be held Wednesday at 11am at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
