Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels says a special legislative session to approve a state budget will begin on Thursday, June 11.Lawmakers were unable to approve a spending plan as time ran out on the regular legislative session in April.Daniels told the bi-partisan State Budget Committee Tuesday that the start date should give the legislature enough time to approve a budget.The governor presented his budget proposal to the panel. It contains an overall spending cut of 2.5%, withincreases for public education and student financial aid.
