Bicycling Events Planned in Louisville

Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson announced details today for two upcoming bicycling events this month.  The Mayor’s Hike and Bike is a twice-annual event that takes place on Memorial Day and Labor Day.  It will be held again this Memorial Day, May 25. Abramson also announced Bike to Work Day on May 15th.  He says the city’s website is linking people up with other potential cyclists in their neighborhoods, so they can bike together.“So whether you’re a first-timer or a regular bike commuter, we really want you to register to bike to work on may 15th," says Abramson, "so you can gather the data on many other people and provide an opportunity for the transportation.”The Mayor says there is also an upcoming campaign to educate cyclists and motorists on rules of the roadway.
