The University of Louisville formally opened its new Depression Center today. Center Director Dr. Jesse Wright says it will be part of a national network of facilities. “It gives us tremendous promise for achieving major advances for this age-old problem," says Wright. "By working together, I think we can really tackle these key problems in mood disorders and find better solutions.”The new center includes virtual reality therapy, a resource library, and treatment for specific mental illnesses, such as those that affect women during and after pregnancy, students and the elderly.It’s located in the U of L Healthcare Outpatient Center on East Chestnut Street.
