Final Preparations Underway For Thunder

Producers of Thunder Over Louisville are keeping a close eye on the weather for tomorrow’s aircraft and fireworks show.  Head Producer Wayne Hettinger says while the weather on the ground will likely be great, slight fluctuations in wind at higher altitudes can have a major effect on the air show – limiting skydiving and the height at which the planes can fly.  So far, he says, it doesn’t seem to be a problem.“We’re green lights clear across the board on not only the fireworks, (but) the entire air show," says Hettinger, "so right now the big strain with the weather being perfect right now is the gang on the ground making sure that everything is picture-perfect for a possible record turnout of people.”Hettinger says today’s preps include final meetings with technicians, and a safety meeting tonight for pilots in the air show.
