Eight staff members will be laid off at the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.President Dean K. Thompson announced the layoffs and an across the board salary freeze in a letter to faculty, staff and students Tuesday.In February, the seminary made other cuts, which included capital spending reductions, a 6% cut to department expenses and a freeze on the cost of living adjustment.In a statement to the press, Thompson said layoffs were a last resort to balance the budget.
