The University of Kentucky could soon announce that John Calipari will be the next coach of its men's basketball team.Various media reports say the University of Memphis coach has been in serious discussions with UK about the job and a deal is close.Kentucky is looking for a successor to Billy Gillispie, who was fired Friday after two years in Lexington.Calipari just finished his ninth season at Memphis, where he compiled a 252-69 record and took the team to the NCAA championship game in 2008. ¼/p>
