The University of Louisville Cardinals will play Siena Sunday in the men's NCAA basketball tournament. The Cards defeated Morehead State 74-54 Friday to advance in the Midwest Regional in Dayton. Siena defeated Ohio State in double overtime Saturday. Tipoff for Sunday's game is 5:30pm.Western Kentucky will face Gonzaga Saturday at 8:10pm in the tournament's South Regional in Portland, Oregon.The U of L women's team begins play in the NCAA tournament Sunday at 9:30pm in Baton Rouge against Liberty.In the men's National Invitation Tournament, Kentucky takes on Creighton Monday night in Omaha. Tipoff for the second round game is 7:00pm.
Rick Howlett was midday host and the host of LPM's weekly talk show, "In Conversation." He was with LPM from 2001-2023 and held many different titles, including Morning Edition host, Assignment Editor and Interim News Director. He died in August 2023. Read a remembrance of Rick here.
