Tentative Trial Date Set For Stinson

A tentative trial date has been set for former Pleasure Ridge Park High School football coach Jason Stinson, who's charged with reckless homicide in the heat related death of a player.Subject to a judge's approval, Stinson will go on trial August 31.Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney David Stengel and defense attorney Alex Dathorne agreed on the date following a brief pre-trial hearing today in Jefferson Circuit Court.Stinson has pleaded not guilty to reckless homicide in the death of 15 year old Max Gilpin.The PRP sophomore collapsed during practice on a sweltering afternoon last August and died three days later.Stinson has since been reassigned to a non-instructional position in the county school system.
