City To Add Crews To Curbside Pickup

Louisville Metro Government is adding more crews to curbside debris pickup efforts.Twelve crews are currently picking up limbs and other yard waste from last month's ice storm. On Monday, eight crews that were previously repairing potholes will start collecting debris as well.Mayor's spokesperson Chris Poynter says the additional workers will most likely not add to the cost of debris pickup."We were declared a federal disaster and so most of this money that we're going to be spending on these crews we will hopefully be able to recoup from the federal government," he says.Poynter says it will take about two months to complete the storm cleanup.
