Two Jeffersonville, Indiana police officers remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition after they were shot during a drug investigation Thursday night.Corporal Dan Lawhorn and Patrolman Keith Broady are recovering from surgery at University of Louisville Hospital.Both were struck by gunfire when they were ambushed at Motel 6 room, where they were called to investigate a report of drug activity.The suspected gunman , 37 year old Robert Datillo, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Friday after he was surrounded by police at south Louisville home.Two other men originally arrested in the case have been released and won't be charged.
