Can the Music Industry Survive?

When cassette tapes were introduced to music consumers, industry insiders shook their heads and made dire predictions: why will people buy albums when they can record the songs free from the radio or from friend's albums? Decades later, that concern seems quaint. People share and download music for free online (legally or otherwise), mp3s have become the format of choice for many, and entire albums are released in digital form only. On Tuesday, we'll ask the experts: Can the music industry survive the changes? And how will it have to change itself in order to do so?
