The executive director of Louisville's Regional Airport Authority says passenger traffic in 2008 at Louisville International Airport was down about 3.5%.
But Skip Miller says that number is relatively low, given the year's economic volatility, and the airport was coming off a strong performance the previous year."Keep in mind that 2007 was the third best year on record at Louisville International Airport," Miller said.Miller delivered his annual year-end briefing Tuesday, along with a look ahead to 2009. He says the industry faces an uncertain new year in light of the nation's economic recession and another potential swing in fuel prices.
