Spalding University has officially opened its new Health and Natural Sciences building.
Spalding purchased the building in downtown Louisville from the Center for Women and Families in 2006. Itβs been renovated to hold the schools of Nursing, Natural Science and Occupational Therapy.Joseph Meyer of the state Education Cabinet says the facility will be especially important to adult education.βIt is vital for the higher education community to reach out to these adult learners, to get them back enrolled in college and working towards completing their degrees by providing more flexible arrangements for adult students so they can earn their degrees while maintaining their full time or part time employment," he says.Meyer says Kentucky has more than ten thousand adults with some college credits, but not a degree.
