The Louisville Metro Council has given Mayor Jerry Abramson a list of revisions members want to see made to the proposed Center City project. The council wants some written assurances from Baltimore-based developer Cordish Group before purchasing the last parcel of land for the project. The proposed revisions give an outline of how the council would like development on Center City to move forward. It includes requirements for investments, hiring and planning, and it gives the city more control over the deal. It’s now up to the mayor’s administration to present the list to Cordish. Economic Development Director Bruce Traughber says there will likely be more discussions with council leaders before then to fine-tune the list.“The letter that we got asked for a meeting and I’m sure we’ll have that once we understand what we think the most appropriate steps to take are," he says. "So I’m assuming we’ll be trying to meet with Councilmen King, Blackwell and Kramer.”The council is expected to vote on the land purchase next week, if Cordish agrees to the revisions.
