Greater Louisville Inc. – the city’s chamber of commerce – is teaming up with Metro Government and economic development officials in Jeffersontown to reach out to the area’s business community. The outreach campaign is targeting businesses that have had little recent contact with those organizations.GLI’s Lisa Bajorinas says so far about 450 companies are signed up to meet with representatives from the partnership. She says they had already planned the outreach campaign before the latest economic slowdown, but their advice on helping with business incentives and loans is the same."We understand there is a lot of economic unrest among businesses in the community and so we want to assure them that we are their partners in terms of getting them through this economic time," says Bajorinas.Bajorinas says they’ll also talk with business leaders about their growth challenges. The campaign continues through the end of this month.
