Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson is among the GOP delegates in St. Paul for the Republican National Convention.Grayson says some of his fellow delegates who were skeptical of John McCain being chosen to lead the ticket have been converted after hearing speeches by former presidential contender Fred Thompson and Senator Joe Lieberman.Grayson also says McCain’s selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate has helped rally some of the party’s conservative base, even though McCain’s vetting process has been questioned.“That’s all kind of exciting, it’s part of the appeal, but it does pose risks as sometimes unknown things come out,” says Grayson.McCain will formally accept his party’s nomination on Thursday, when the convention closes.
