From Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeighAdvertisements for a new president of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education will soon begin popping up.The Council on Postsecondary Education hopes to have its third president in place by the end of the year. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but the search committee says those seeking best consideration should apply by September 12th.The committee, with the help of a Florida search firm, is placing ads on the Internet, in professional journals and in three of the state’s largest newspapers. The ads appeal for a "visionary, open-minded leader," "a clear, convincing and politically astute communicator," and "a consensus builder."Former CPE president Brad Cowgill resigned under pressure earlier this year after Governor Steve Beshear complained he had been hired without the legally required national search.
