It's back to school this week for thousands of Jefferson County Public Schools students.JCPS spokesperson Lauren Roberts says classes begin Tuesday for most schools in the district."We are anticipating over 99,000 students returning to school this year. That is an increase of over 650 students from last year," Roberts said.Roberts say parents should be prepared for some buses to run late during the first week of school, as officials insure that all youngsters get to their proper destinations.JCPS is opening a new school this year Ramsey Middle School in southeastern Jefferson County.In addition, two existing facilities have been transformed into the state's first single-gender public schools, Olmstead North and South.
