The U.S. Conference of Mayors has named Louisville the country’s ‘most livable city’. Mayor Jerry Abramson will accept the award Saturday at the group’s annual meeting. He says the honor shows Louisville is on the move."Lots of folks have been working toward the quality of life issues that make a difference in our hometown. And the fact that the rest of the country, through the competition, has realized how fortunate we are and how much we have invested for the betterment of our families and community members, I think is really positive," said Abramson.Louisville won the award in the large-city category, beating cities such as Las Vegas, Seattle and Orlando.
