Conway Gets an A- in Handling Foreclosure Crisis

Kentucky’s attorney general has done a good job in dealing with the growth of foreclosures in the state – that’s according to a national advocacy group. The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – or ACORN – recently completed a survey of attorneys general to see how they’ve performed in the foreclosure crisis. ACORN gives Kentucky’s Jack Conway a grade of A-minus.Kentucky ACORN Organizer Brandi Wooten says Conway could do a better job of supporting efforts on Capitol Hill to address the situation."Mr. Conway should have a little bit more of a stance as far as federal legislation is concerned and put the force of his office behind those legislative bills that would protect consumers. Such as the federal predatory lending protections and the federal bankruptcy reform," she said.Twenty-three state attorneys general scored an A or B on the survey.
