Drought Unlikely, Say UK Experts

As summer approaches, University of Kentucky climate experts say the state should be able to avoid a repeat of last year’s drought conditions.UK meteorologist Keys Arnold says that’s due mainly to a wetter-than-normal spring.“There’s adequate soil moisture to carry us through the first part of the summer to where when the rain does start slacking off we’re not going to have to worry too much," he says.Arnold predicts above-average rainfall for the month of June and seasonal temperatures through the summer.
