Kentucky Superdelegates Ponder Their Vote

Kentucky’s nine Democratic Party superdelegates have until the national convention late this summer to finalize their votes for president. But state party chair Jennifer Moore expects they’ll be making their decisions in the coming weeks, now that Barack Obama has secured the nomination."The superdelegates can stay committed to the candidate they want, and obviously I know Senator Obama is making a big push to get everyone to come his way since he’s now cinched the number so to speak, and I think you’ll see a lot of people rallying behind Senator Obama as the nominee," she said. Two Kentucky superdelegates pledged their support to Obama before Kentucky’s May 20 primary. Three others announced their support for Hillary Clinton. Another three are uncommitted. The Kentucky Democratic Party holds its convention this Saturday in Lexington, where a ninth superdelegate will be appointed.
