Anne Northup served as the 3rd District of Kentucky’s representative in congress for 10 years. Then, democrat John Yarmuth unseated her. Now, Northup battles two candidates for her party’s nomination: Chris Thieneman and Bob Devore. Corley Everett withdrew from the race over the weekend and threw his support to Thieneman.Reports from the Courier Journal show Northup and her challengers differ on such issues as how to prevail in Iraq. Their positions aside, recent poll numbers from SurveyUSA show Northup walking away with nearly 80 percent of the vote.
