When planning a vacation, most of us think Miami long before Hopkinsville. A breezy beach stay or DC adventure overshadows closer alternatives like a Bluegrass B&B or a cabin in the Cumberlands. But do you have to leave Kentucky to get away from it all? Heritage Tourism is a growing industry that promotes visiting regional sites of historical or cultural significance. And agencies like the Kentucky Heritage Council say visiting Abe Lincoln’s Birthplace or touring Mammoth Cave strengthens Kentucky’s economy and nourishes a sense of community and pride. Join us Wednesday when we take a look at tourism in the Bluegrass State and discuss what Kentucky has to offer. And call us with your suggestions.
