The U.S. Supreme Court Wednesday turned back a challenge to Kentucky's method of execution.In a 7-2 ruling, the court rejected the claim that the three-drug protocol used by the state amounts to cruel and unusual punishment. Some three dozen other states use a similar execution method.The decision will likely clear the way for executions across the country to resume. They were put on hold last year while the court decision was pending.
